Do not put plastic in the microwavw,ever.heat can break down plastic so that it leaches chemicals into food.Try not to put plastic in the dishwasher. OTHER KITHCENWARE: there are glass,metal and wooden alternatives to plastic mixing bowls,funels,cutting boardsplates spatulas and spoons.Look for blendeers and food prosessors with glass bowls. Instead of buying vinyl tablecloths use real cloth.
